Meet Anisha

Hi, I’m Anisha.

Hi, I’m Anisha.

I’m an educator and university guidance counsellor.

I’m an educator and university guidance counsellor.

For more than 18 years, I’ve worked with children, young people, and families, helping them navigate schools, universities, and the many decisions in between. It’s work I genuinely enjoy, and I still learn something new from every family I meet.

18+

18+

years working across classrooms, admissions, guidance, and parent conversations.

Many perspectives

I’ve been fortunate to see education from many different sides.

As a teacher. In university admissions. As a university guidance counsellor. And as a parent.

Each chapter has shaped the way I think about education and the way I work with families today.

Teaching

Teaching showed me that every child learns differently.

University admissions

Working in university admissions showed me just how unique every application is, and that there is no single formula for what makes a compelling application.

University guidance

University guidance has given me the privilege of helping students discover universities where they can learn, contribute, and thrive.

Parent

Becoming a parent has reminded me what it feels like to sit on the other side of the table, wanting to make the best decisions you can for your child.

How I work

The best decisions begin with understanding the person at the centre.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that the best education decisions don’t begin with choosing a school or a university. They begin with understanding the person at the centre of the decision. That’s why I don’t believe my role is to tell families what to do. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, share perspective, and help families think through their options so they can make decisions that feel right for them.

Beyond academics

I’m interested in the skills that help young people thrive—not just academically, but in life.

I’m interested in the skills that help young people thrive—not just academically, but in life.

That curiosity has led me to explore youth coaching, neuroscience, resilience, and self-awareness. Those ideas continue to influence the way I work with students and families, encouraging conversations that go beyond the immediate decision and focus on long-term growth.

Conversations that go further

Resilience. Self-awareness. Learning how to learn. Healthy habits. Thoughtful decisions. Long-term growth.

Every child is different. Every family is different. Every journey is different.

Every child is different. Every family is different. Every journey is different.

Outside of my work, I’m also a parent to two wonderfully different children.

They remind me every day that there is no single right way to learn, grow, or succeed.

And that’s perhaps the most important lesson education has taught me. I’d love to learn about yours.
